A former personnel manager, Maureen Almond graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with an MA in Poetry in December, 2002. She carries out school and community residencies and has read her work throughout the Northern Region as well as in Liverpool, London and at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University.
